As you might be aware, there’s been a distinct downturn in the publishing of the Tarotcast.
This is because I’ve been waiting on some news that will have an impact on the time I can devote to my tarot craft, which I received yesterday:
In three weeks, I go back to university for two years to study for an MA in Jungian and Post-Jungian Studies.
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts over 20 years ago, I felt it was time to put my money where my professional mouth is and deepen my knowledge of a subject close to my heart and which underpins my tarot work.
I am excited. I am also aware that this will take up a lot of resources and energy. (The required reading list alone is enough to raise my pulse perceptibly.)
As a result, I have had to make the difficult choice of what stays in my work, and what has to leave. This is what I’ve decided:
I will no longer be writing the Tarotcast:
Barring the occasional sabbatical, I have written a regular reading for nearly seven years, and it’s time for a change. The Tarotcast takes up a full day of my time every week, and this is now time I’m devoting to my research and dissertation.
I know a lot of you receive this newsletter on the strength of the Tarotcast alone, and for those of you who still want to keep in touch with my work, there are things that I’m keeping that might offer you an alternative:
I have a monthly 15-minute tarot reading that I publish on Patreon:
If you’re interested in signing up for my Video Tarot Forecast, head over to the Patreon site to find out more.
The cost is nominal: $2 per month. I’m hoping this is within reach of most of you and I will be keeping the reading at this price permanently.
I also think there is something about the video medium that shifts the way the information is given and received. Maybe try it for yourself and see.
I offer one-to-one readings, which you can book on Fridays:
For those of you wanting an individual Skype reading, you’ll be able to book time with me on a Friday. You’ll find more information here.
The Anatomy of a Reading webinars run the first Monday of every month:
These webinars are an inner walk through how a reading comes to me, as it is happening in real time. I also open the floor to questions and your own interpretations the last half of the webinar. So far, it has been very well-received (in spite of a Mercury Retrograde recording glitcheroo last time!)
You can’t make it? You can catch up with the recorded webinar afterwards. You can also buy webinars from previous months.
I will be running courses on an ad hoc basis:
I’ve realised that my course timetable is entirely intuitively driven – which doesn’t lend itself to a predictable schedule, but it seems to work well nonetheless! So as soon as I know when the next course is going to happen, I’ll let you know. My sense is in the late winter/early spring, but I’ll have a clearer idea closer to the time.
I will be publishing articles and videos on an ad hoc basis:
This means that you’ll receive a newsletter whenever I post an article or a video, and whenever there is a webinar or course in the offing. I hope you choose to keep in touch this way – there’s a lot still going on.
To those of you who work with me regularly on an individual basis, our work commitment remains unchanged.
If you have any questions, or feedback – no matter what – please get in touch. And if you want to know more about signing up for anything, and you’re not sure how, then feel free to contact me too.
