Weekend Tarot Reading — Sunday, May 1, 2016

“The Eight of Cups helps you to know, in that heart of hearts of yours, the one true path you were seeking in the Seven. It encourages you to turn and search it out; it encourages you not to stay where you are for long. Your work here is done. The card speaks of “Failure” but there’s an invitation to consider “failure” in a different light from the one we tend to default to:

eight_cups_hanged_man_death_haindl_smIt is not you who is a failure. Nor is anyone else. It is simply a situation that has failed. It is worn down, worn thin, worn out. The wear and tear of a particular way of feeling, of an emotional approach or assumption.

Consider the concept of “failure” when it no longer has to be accompanied by shame or humiliation. It is a neutral description of a particular state. It isn’t about “should’ve” and “could’ve.” It also assists you in reaching a greater understanding of where it is that you are in your life, with yourself, and with others. It does this by creating the conditions that bring you into the realm of the card at centre, The Hanged Man.”

  • Hi Sarah,

Great reading. Good to find it here. I just heard you left PW. Which is interesting as I did as well just last week. It was time..Definately a time of endings and moving on is the energy I was and and feeling. And resonates in tune with your reading here.

Interesting Death shows up again this week. Change, transformation continues, BIG time.

And, just today I realized at the end of the day, I had an incredible message /visit in Totom representing the same. A younger Owl was perched on one of the trees in the yard. Most of the day I spent with him protecting him from crows that were swooping down and diving at him whenever I left for a moment they would return to bullly. Owl seemed to acknowledge, even appreciate our connection in this.

Owl is very much about foresight to change, death and intuitive messaging. To let go of old cycles that are not working. Being open to the new coming in, the mystrey, the mystic ..seeing in the dark, yet knowing one has not only the wisdom, but the ancient knowledge as represented with Athena, the Devine status, and protection of gift. Night representing the feminine; Moon. The interesting thing I noticed tonight, as he continued to call to for his mother who responed with her reassuring hoots each time. He started to finally flap his wings and in what felt like slow motion turned upside down to fall, and dissapeared.. I guess to flight. It reminded me then of your reading, death, and the hanged man.

  • *Divine. Thanks again to you and your gift.

Thank you for your really beautiful comments, Leannne, and your own gift of the story of the owl. It swooped into my heart 🙂
